How to Make Gaghi

Now it's time to learn how to build a star polychoron. First we would need to obtain access to a four dimensional world and get the poster board, 4-D scissors, coloring pencils, glue, and other useful 4-D items - I'll let you figure that one out :). Gaghi is one of the ten star regular polychora in category 1, it is also a member of the sishi regiment. Gaghi has 10800 pieces in total.
Gaghi Piece Set Gaghi Combo Set Gaghi Slices

Above are the two piece types of gaghi, followed by the two combos, and then a slices animation, they were created using Stella4D. We could name the pieces and combos as follows:

Gaghi Piece Connection Graph

the Two Piece Types

Spike - larger maroon piece, concave - comes from the outer part of the edges of the gad cells, 7200 needed.

Wedge - smaller maroon piece - comes from the center of the edges of the gad cells, 3600 needed.

the Two Combos

Pointmeister - composed of six spikes folded inward into an inverted three pointed tegum like dimple - maroon, 1200 needed.

Trio - composed of three wedges folded outward and glued into a pointy edge - maroon, 1200 needed.

Build the Spiky Segments

Cut out all of the pointmeisters and trios. Put concave tabs in each narrow gap of the pointmeisters as well as two opposing large concave faces, leaving the other two tabless. These tabs will close the gaps as the pointmeisters fold inward and close up into a three pointed cup with an opening at the bottom. Put convex tabs on the triangles in the interior - these will actually be concave folds, but it is best to do double tabbing here. As far as the large outer triangle faces, put convex tabs on half of them in an alternating pattern, make sure all are tabbed the same. For the trio, but a convex tab on one of the large faces and all of the smaller faces. Fold it convexly into a spike (actually it's part of an edge, but in 4-space edges can be spiky). Put this edge-spike into the pointmeister using the double tab method and thus filling the holes. You need 1200 of these.

Finishing Gaghi

Now connect them together with convex folds between them. Make sure they form gissid shaped vertices as you create the model. Show it to your friends as you try to swallow it and gag. Don't forget to say hi while gagging.
