Above are the two piece types of gogishi, followed by the two combos, and then a slices animation, they were created using Stella4D. We could name the pieces and combos as follows:
Spike - large cyan piece - comes from the vertices of the gissid cells, 2400 needed.
Chisel - small cyan piece - comes from the edges of the gissid cells, 7200 needed.
Starburst - composed of twenty spikes folded inward into an inverted spiky cone - cyan, 120 needed.
Star - composed of five chisels folded inward and glued into a star like dimple - cyan, 1440 needed.
Cut out all of the starbursts and stars. For the starbursts, put concave tabs on the concave faces in an alternating fasion, these will be used to glue the starburst shut after folding inward into a spiky dodecahedral cone with a spiky hole at the bottom where rosettes need to be made. Also put tabs on the small diamond faces in the concave part of the spike, fold them outward, but the connection is a concave connection where we will do the double tab method here. As for the large diamond faces, put convex tabs on one 'pentagon' worth of them, then skip the next five pentagon regions and put tabs in the next five pentagonal regions, skipping the final pentagonal region of diamonds. WHAT! - lets phrase it this way, imagine the starburst as a very concave dodecahedron where the pentagons buckle in and spike out forming five diamonds instead of a pentagon face. The top pentagon has tabs, the top ring of five pentagons adjacent to it has no tabs, the bottom ring of five pentagons has tabs, and the bottom pentagon does not. For the stars, put a tab on the diamond, fold it convexly, but we're doing a double tab here and the connection is actually concave. Put an inward tab on one of the equilateral triangles and then put convex tabs on the isosceles triangles in an alternating fasion - make sure they are tabbed alike. Fold these stars inward and glue at the equalateral triangle to make a star shaped dimple. Make twelve of these to create a spiky rosette at the bottom of the starbursts. The stars will connect to each other at the isosceles triangles and to the starburst at the diamonds using the double tabs. This completes the spiky cups where we need 120 of them.
Now connect the cups together. First connect ten together in a ring where the top tabbed region connects to the bottom untabbed regions, keeping them aligned in the same orientation so the tabs align right. This will form a ring of ten filled starbursts. Make twelve rings of these and then swirl connect them via the tabs and 'untabs' on the other pentagonal regions. Gogishi is now finished. Don't get pricked, instead use it as a mold to make several metal gogishis, go into the fifth dimension, dress as a 5-D ninja named 'Gogishi' and toss these gogishi shaped ninja stars in a Clifford rotation at your targets. Wa wa, wecha, bechoung - WHAAAAAA! (supposed to be ninja noises).
