How to Make Sphixhi

Now it's time to learn how to build yet another star polychoron. First we would need to obtain access to a four dimensional world and get the poster board, 4-D scissors, coloring pencils, glue, and other useful 4-D items - I'll let you figure that one out :). Sphixhi is a member of category 10.
Sphixhi Piece Set Sphixhi Combo Set Sphixhi Slices

Above are the ten piece types of sphixhi, followed by the seven combos and slice animation, they were created using Stella4D. We could name the pieces and combos as follows:

the Ten Piece Types

Tiggy - large purple piece - It is the complete tiggy cell, 120 needed.

Barb - irregular gold piece orbiting tiggy - comes from the toe cells and comes in right and left handed forms, 14400 needed.

Pointer - tiny red piece near tiggy - comes from the trip cells, 7200 needed.

Grabber - that crazy looking starry cyan piece - comes from the stars of the siid cells, 1440 needed.

Satellite - gold two winged piece - comes from the squares of the toe cells, 3600 needed.

Reactor - large crazy red piece - it is a large chunk of a trip cell, 1200 needed.

Trigon - tiny cyan triangular pyramid near the reactor - comes from the triangles of the siids, 2400 needed.

Flat - flat cyan wedge under the reactor - comes from the siids, 7200 needed.

Red - red wedge under flat - comes from the trips, 7200 needed.

Gold - gold wedge under flat - comes from the toes, 7200 needed.

the Seven Combos

Tesla Coil - composed of a reactor and six flats folded inward and glued - red and cyan, 1200 needed.

Casing - composed of five satellites folded inward and glued - gold, 720 needed.

Glider - composed of two reds and two golds folded outward between reds and golds and inward between two reds - red and gold, 3600 needed.

Mouth - composed of four barbs, two right handed and two left handed, folded inward and glued - gold, 3600 needed.

Tetcup - composed of four trigons folded inwards and glued - cyan, 600 needed.

Dart - composed of three pointers folded inwards and glued. There's barely a gap, so you may need to make the tabs there separate - red, 2400 needed.

Shredder - composed of two grabbers folded inward - cyan, 720 needed.

the Super Combo

Pentagonator - composed of a shredder and a casing - cyan and gold, 720 needed.

Make and Connect the Pentagonators

Before we get to the pentagonators, lets cut out all 120 tiggies. Put convex tabs on the isosceles triangles and stars of the tiggies. Now for the pentagonators. We first need to cut out all 720 casings and 720 shredders. The casings will need an inward tab in the gap to close it and outward tabs on the 'tie-fighter' faces. Also put inward tabs on those irregular tetragon faces on the inner sides of the flanges of the casings. For the shredders, put inward tabs on the large inner faces as well as all inner triangle faces. Place convex tabs on the diamond shaped faces and the odd shaped outer faces. Fold the shredders inward a bit and the casings inward. Glue the casings shut to make pentagonal rings. Connect each shredder to a casing via the large 'trapezoid with indention' faces, thus finishing the pentagonators. Now make the mouths and place an inward tab in the gap to close it. Place inward tabs on the inward facing triangle faces and outward tabs on the small outer triangles and the outer tetragonal faces. Now let's connect the tiggies and the pentagonators together. The tiggy will connect to the outer triangular faces of five flanges of the pentagonator which sits inside the pentagonal dimple at the base of the stars of tiggy. The stars themselves will connect to the shredders which are now part of the pentagonators. Each pentagonator connects two tiggies and each tiggy connects to twelve pentagonators. Isn't it fun to say 'pentagonator' - pentagonator pentagonator - hahaha hasta la vista it's the pentagonator. Now let's connect the mouths which just loves the taste of pentagonators, the inner parts of the mouths connect to the underside of the pentagonator flanges. The odd outer faces of the mouths connect to the shredders and the outer tetragons of the mouths connect to the tiggies.

Remaining Parts

Make the darts, there is a very tiny gap between two of the pointers, to thin for a tab. Fold the dart's pointers inward and put a dab of glue on the gap. Set them aside to dry. Now make the tesla coils. There are tight gaps between the flats, there might be enough room to add an inward tab there, if not seperate tabs can be glued underneath to close these gaps. Place outer tabs on the trapezoids of the flats. Once they are dried, connect the tesla coils in the spots between three pentagonators via the tie-fighter faces. The inner mouth triangles will attach to the triangles near the wings of the tie-fighter faces of the tesla coils. The other triangle faces of the tesla coils will connect the triangle faces on the grabbers furthest from the diamonds. Connect the darts to the outer triangles of the mouths and the diamond faces of the shredders. Now make the gliders. Place inner tabs on the bottom of their wings (gold trapezoids). Gliders will fit in the gaps of two tesla coils connecting to the flats. The wings of the gliders will connect to the trapezoids of the reactors. The triangles of the gliders connect to the remaining grabber triangles. Now make the tetcups placing inward tabs in the gaps to close. Fold inward and glue. Place these in the tetrahedral gaps between four reactors at the equalateral triangles. Now sphixhi is complete - now kick it into a four dimensional field goal.
